The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, participated in the Informal Meeting of EU Ministers of Defence held in Athens, on 20 and 21 February.

The agenda includes talks on the outcome of the European Council of December 2013, EU equipment support given to local or regional armed forces, EU Strategic Partnership, systematic defence cooperation and the actions to be taken by the European Defence Agency after the European Council meeting.

Separate working sessions will focus on the steps to be taken according to the conclusions of the European Council of December 2013 as well as on the military operations conducted under the aegis of the Common Security and Defence Policy.

This is the first high level meeting organized under the Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the framework of the implementation process of the conclusions of EC/CSDP 2013.
