The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, signed the promotion order to 2nd Lieutenant (posthumous) of Sergeant Major Claudiu Constantin Vulpoiu, who lost his life during a mission in Afghanistan.

The defence minister submitted to the President of Romania the proposition to decorate the officer posthumously with the national order 'Steaua Romaniei', knight rank for military men, with war insignia.
