US Secretary of Defence, Chuck Hagel will pay a visit to Romania following the invitation of the Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa.

The talks between the two dignitaries are scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 5, at Constanta. Topics such as the military dimension of the Strategic Partnership between the two states, with focus on the US support provided to Romania in the current Eastern neighborhood security environment, the importance of strengthening the measures taken at the Alliance level, the implementation status of the US projects in Romania, as well as the agenda of the upcoming NATO Summit which will be held in The Wales will be approached during the meeting of the two officials.

At the end of the official talks, Defence Minister Dusa and US Secretary of Defence, Hagel, will visit Ship USS Vella Gulf, which will anchor in Constanta Harbor.

Defence Minister Mircea Dusa and US Secretary of Defence, Chuck Hagel, will take this opportunity to make common press statements.
