The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, congratulated the Romanian sword feminine team on the phone for winning the gold medal at the European Sword Fighting Championship which took place on Thursday evening, at Strasbourg.

On this occasion, defence minister Mircea Dusa told our sports women that they, together with our militaries, honor Romania. 'The performance was proved and it takes a lot of work and perseverance to get here', defence minister Dusa added.

The Romanian sword feminine team, made up of Steaua's sports women Ana Maria Branza, Simona Pop and Simona Gherman together with Maria Udrea, defeated the Russian team in the championship's final, scoring 38 to 34.
