Chief of General Staff Meets JFC Naples Chief of Staff

The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stefan Danila, met with Lieutenant General Leonardo di Marco, JFC Naples Chief of Staff, at the defence ministry on Monday, 16 June.

The two military leaders discussed the role and position of the Allied Command and the fact that the collaboration with Romania continues under a new approach, within the context of \"Regional Focus\".

'JFC Naples plays an important role in enforcing the reassurance and stability measures established at Alliance level and implementing the decisions to be taken at the future NATO Summit in Wales', the chief of General Staff underlined. The JFC Naples Chief of Staff noted: 'Romania is a powerful NATO member, involved in the activities meant to increase and adapt the defence capabilitiy, in terms of ensuring an increased response level of NATO, as requested by the dynamics of the present security context'.

The delegation headed by Lieutenant General Leonardo di Marco will visit several military units in order to identify possible spots for the common training of allied troops.
