Deputy SACEUR's visit in Romania

On Thursday, 24 July, the State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Valeriu Nicut, met with the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander, Europe (DSDACEUR), General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, who is paying an official visit to Romania following the invitation of the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant-General Stefan Danila.


The agenda of the upcoming NATO Summit that will be held in September, in The Wales, and the evolution of the situation in Afghanistan, with focus on the action plan for post-2014 timeframe, as part of the NATO Resolute Support Operation, were some of the topics approached by the two officials during their meeting.


The excellent relationship between the Romanian Armed Forces and the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe - SHAPE and the contribution of the Romanian soldiers to NATO's missions from Afghanistan and Kosovo were emphasized during DSACEUR's official talks with the Chief of General Staff.
