The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, sent a condolences message to the US Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, to express his compassion for the US Major General killed during an armed attack in Kabul, on Tuesday, 5 August, when other ISAF troops were injured as well.

The Romanian minister`s message conveyed his condolences to the grieving family and assured his US counterpart of the Romanian soldiers` compassion and solidarity to their US comrades with whom they fought side by side in Afghanistan over the last twelve years.
