Romanian and German Defence Ministers Signed New Defence Cooperation Agreements

During the joint press conference that took place at the Federal Ministry of Defence today, 24 September, the two ministers declared that the agreements already signed between Romania and Germany concerning bilateral military cooperation ensure a well articulated juridical framework of cooperation.

Signing today the Amending Protocol of the Agreement between the two ministries on defence cooperation and the Agreement on cooperation in the field of training is a real step made in adapting the legal framework to the new realities.

In this context, the Romanian defence minister stated that this way 'the premises are set for a pragmatic partnership', that allows the efficient use of the existing resources.

The documents are important for an intensified military training cooperation and service cooperation between the two countries.

The two ministers stated that planning and organizing joint bilateral exercises are of interest for the two institutions.
Minister Dusa appreciated at the end the today`s talks would contribute to the development of dialogue and consolidated cooperation between the two countries.
