The Minister of National Defence Mircea Dusa met with Vice-President of the Central Military Committee, General Xu Qiliang, on Sunday, 28 September. The two officials appreciated that their countries are traditional partners, this year marking 65 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations.

The high level meetings between the representatives of Romania and China show the parties are willing to strengthen their political, economic, cultural, commercial, scientific and military cooperation.

In turn, General XU Qiliang appreciated the cooperation in the field of military education, saying that it still has the potential for development, as there are premises to extend the ongoing education programs.

The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, visits the People`s Republic of China at the invitation of his counterpart.

The Romanian defence minister will visit the Command of the 3rd Division, Beijing garrison, where he will observe a demonstrative exercise, on Monday, 29 September.

On Tuesday, 30 September, minister Dusa will meet at the Ministry of National Defence of Bayi, his counterpart, General Chang Wanchuan, member of the Central Military Committee and will participate in the reception organized by the President of the People`s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on the occasion of the 65 years since the foundation of the People`s Republic of China.
