The opening ceremony of the Balkan Medical Week and the Days of the "Dr. Carol Davila" Emergency Military Hospital (SUUMC) will take place in the Marble Hall of the Palace of the Military Club, from 09.00, on Wednesday, 8 October.

The scientific event, organized by the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Health, the Romanian section of the Balkan Medical Union in cooperation with the "Dr. Carol Davila" Emergency Military Hospital (SUUMC) and the Romanian Society of Emergency Surgery and Traumatology, will take place from 8 to 11 October.

The opening ceremony will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Health, central public institutions and authorities, important members of the academia from Romania and from abroad (Bulgaria, France, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Serbia and Turkey).

During the ceremony, the management of SUUMC will give the Romanian Military Medicine Awards, a Prize for excellence contributions to military medicine and the Prize for the entire activity - "senior military medic".
