The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, will meet at the defence ministry on Monday, November 17 with Rose Gottemoeller, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security for the US State Department, and Frank A. Rose, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Space and Defense Policy.

They will have discussions on the consulting mechanisms created for the Strategic Partnership, missile defence, the present stage and the perspectives of rendering operational the military base at Deveselu, and the agenda for 2015.

Other topics on the meeting agenda are the crisis in Ukraine and its implications for the regional security, the allied measures of reassurance, Romania's contribution to the new allied mission in Afghanistan, arms control-related topics.
