Eight soldiers lost their lives and two others were wounded after an IAR-330 PUMA crashed in the area of Malancrav locality, Sibiu County, around 10.40 hrs., on Friday, November 21.

The helicopter of the 71st Air Base in Campia Turzii, was going to participate in an exercise at Cincu firing range.

The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, traveled to the place of the accident with an investigation committee of the Air Force Staff.
