Captain Commander Corneliu-Gabriel Titiana Passed Away

Captain Commander Corneliu-Gabriel Titiana, one of the soldiers wounded in the aviation accident at the end of November passed away, while in hospital, on Monday, December 8, at about 12.30.

In a serious condition after the helicopter crash, the soldier was in surgery several times, but doctors were always reserved.

Captain Commander Corneliu-Gabriel Titiana, age 46, was married and had two children. He was a pilot trainer 1st class, for IAR 330 aircraft, also a commander of the 713th Helicopter Squadron of the 71st Airbase, having performed over 1,300 flying hours.

The defence ministry leadership expresses their sorrow for the loss of the soldier's life, being by the side of the grieving family.

All military units at home and abroad will organize military and religious ceremonies for the commemoration of Captain Commander Corneliu-Gabriel Titiana, on Tuesday, December 9, at 08.30.
