The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, requested that the internal regulations of 'Steaua' Sports Club be amended so as to include new ones that should create the necessary conditions for veterans of the theaters of operations to train for the 'Invictus' Paralympics Games.

'Invictus Games' is an international competition under the patronage of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry and the Ministry of Defence of Great Britain that brings together wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel.


The initiative to participate in the games belongs to the military personnel organized in Invictus group, that promoted the idea of voluntary work through 'Stafeta veteranilor', [Veterans' Relay Race] on a route covering the distance from Bucharest to Carei, organized on the Day of the Romanian Armed Forces, 'Triatlonul veteranilor' [Veterans` Triathlon], organized on Veterans` Day and the relay race 'Stele pentru veterani' [Stars for Veterans], on the National Day of Romania.
