Defence Minister Mircea Dusa will meet with the crews of 'Regina Maria' Frigate and USS 'Vicksburg' Battleship on Monday, March 16, at 11, 00 am.

The Romanian official will attend the exercises performed by the ships that make up the Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG-2), which will be accompanied by two corvettes, two missile carrier boats and 'Marasesti' Frigate of the Romanian Naval Forces as well as three aircraft of the Romanian Air Force.

SNMG-2 is one of the four multinational naval groups of the North-Atlantic Alliance. The group is made up of four frigates (HMCS Fredericton - Canada, TCG Turgutreis - Turkey, ITS Aliseo - Italy and Regina Maria - Romania, with a helicopter onboard), a battleship (USS Vicksburg-USA, flagship) and an auxiliary ship (FGS Spessart-Germania).
