During his official visit in Georgia, the Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Government of Georgia.

The two officials discussed the cooperation between the two countries and other future projects.

Another topic of discussion was the security situation in the extended Black Sea Region and the involvement of the two countries in the regional projects to increase security. The Romanian official appreciated the operational implication of Georgia in NATO's efforts to strengthen regional and international security and stability.

Minister Dusa also assured the Georgian official of our country's endorsement: 'Romania assumed its role as Contact Point Embassy/CPE in Georgia and will continue to support the efforts made by your country with a view to NATO integration'.
