Official Meeting of Minister Dusa with the President of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Margvelashvili

The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, met with the President of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Margvelashvili, at the Palace of Presidential Administration in Tbilisi, on Monday, April 6.

Minister Dusa appreciated the efforts and firm commitment of Georgia to strengthen its cooperation with NATO. 'I know that your country uses all the allied partnership mechanisms available and I think that employing them fully will result in your endeavors to Euro Atlantic integration come true', the Romania minister said.

The Romanian official also stressed Romania's willingness to endorse such efforts, especially of the Georgian military personnel, in terms of training and increasing interoperability with NATO forces.

Minister Mircea Dusa declared that stability in the Eastern region and the extended region of the Black Sea are one of Romania's priorities. 'We consider that the European Union should keep its involvement in monitoring the implementation of the Six-Point Agreement, which we continue to endorse politically and we have a solid personnel contribution to the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia', the Romanian defence minister pointed out.
