Ioan Mircea Pascu minister of National Defense heading a military delegation will pay an official visit between May 5 and 11, 03 in the Republic of South Africa invited by his counterpart Mosioua Patrick Lekota.

The two ministers' discussions will mainly aim the priorities and the perspectives of the military relations increase between Romania and South Africa, the aspects on counter-terrorism international campaign and the lessons learned after the participation of the Romanian military in peacekeeping missions.

Ioan Mircea Pascu and Mosioua Patrick Lekota will sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Romania and the Government of Republic of South Africa on defense cooperation.

The program of the Romanian delegation includes meetings with Mr. Thabo Mbeki, President of the Republic of South Africa, Mrs. Naledi Panlor, president of National Council of Provinces and Mrs. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, minister of Foreign Affairs.
