Minister Dusa and General Bradshaw at the DV Day of Exercise Wind Spring 15

The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, and General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, NATO's Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe will attend the Distinguished Visitors' Day of international exercise Wind Spring 15, organized on Tuesday, April 21, in Smardan firing range, Galati County, at 14.30 hrs.

General Bradshaw will make a two-day official visit to our country, over April 21 and 22.

Exercise Wind Spring 15, conducted in Smardan firing range, Galati County and the Air Administrative Center in Mihail Kogalniceanu (CAAMK), Constanta County, over 16 April 16 to 30 brings together 2,200 armed troops and military equipment from Great Britain, the Republic of Moldova, Romania and the USA.

The aim of the exercise is to train jointly, in a unitary concept, troops from NATO member or partner countries, to maintain the operational capacity of structures and to meet specific NATO and EU interoperability and standardization requirements.

Wind Spring 15 includes command exercises, live shooting, solving complex tactical situations.

The exercise is one of a series of joint training exercises conducted both at home and abroad within operation Atlantic Resolve, meant to demonstrate the reassuring measures adopted by the North-Atlantic Council to ensure regional stability and security, especially in the present security climate on the eastern flank of NATO.
