The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Nicolae Ciuca, met with Sir Adrian Bradshaw, NATO's Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, at the defence ministry,on Wednesday, April 22.

Lieutenant General Ciuca presented the implementation of the measures resulting from the Action plan to increase the operational capacity of the Alliance, the stage in creating NATO Force Integration Units (NFIU) and the Multinational Division-Southeast Command (MND-SE) that will be at the disposal of the Alliance and details on the participation of Romanian military in 'Resolute Support', the NATO missions in Afghanistan.

The two leaders also discussed the security situation in the extended Black Sea region. General Sir Adrian Bradshaw made an official visit in Romania, over April 21 and 22, at the invitation of the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Nicolae Ciuca.
