Commander, Allied Joint Forces Command Naples Visits Romania

The Minister of National Defence Mircea Dusa will meet on Tuesday, May 5, with Admiral Mark Ferguson, Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, who makes a visit in Romania over May 5 and 6, at the invitation of the chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Nicolae Ciuca.
The agenda will include discussions on implementing the goals set at NATO Summit in Wales, especially the Action Plan to increase the operational capabilities of the Alliance, the stage of render operational the NATO Force Integration Unit and the Multi-National Division South-East Command.
There will be talks on the allied assurance measures as well, on the developments in the extended Black Sea security region and the participation of Romanian troops in 'Resolute Support' mission in Afghanistan.

Minister Dusa and Admiral Ferguson will make press statements at 09.45, on Tuesday, May 5.

Journalists interested in participating in the event, are expected at the defence ministry HQ (Checkpoint 3, next to Marriott Hotel) between 09.00 and 09.30
