Over May 4 and June 30, the 71st General Emanoil Ionescu Air Base of Campia Turzii will host the bilateral exercise Falcon Defence 2015.

About 150 Romanian soldiers, pilots, technical staff and MiG-21 LanceR aircraft of the 71st General Emanoil Ionescu Air Base as well as 180 Portuguese soldiers and four F-16 aircraft along with the operating equipment participate in this exercise.

The exercise aims at training participants together, based on a unitary training concept, in order to meet specific interoperability requirements of the Alliance and ensuring regional stability and security, in the present security environment on the eastern flank of NATO.
