The "Platinum Eagle" annual training module of the multinational exercise, "Black SeaRotational Force 15" (BSRF-15), is conducted at Babadag firing range, Tulcea Countyuntil May 28.

750 troopers of the 1st "Argedava" Mechanized Brigade and from Naval and Air Forcessupport structures train during Platinum Eagle alongside Bulgarian troops and U.S.Marines deployed to Europe.

The soldiers conduct drills involving live fire training, parachute jump exercises, close airsupport, first aid in conflict areas and exercise command and control procedures, as wellas procedures for the use of anti-armor weapon systems.

BSRF-15 is an annual exercise led by the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa,taking place in the Black Sea, the Balkans and the Caucasus. Its purpose is to increase thelevel of interoperability through joint training of the military personnel for theparticipation in peacekeeping and counter-insurgency operations.
