Defence minister Mircea Dusa congratulated Ana Maria Branza and Simona Gherman Steaua fencers for getting the gold and bronze medals at Baku 2015 European Games, in women's individual epee final.

Ana Maria Branza scored 15-11 in the finals against Russian player Ianei Zvereva, getting the first gold medal for the Romanian delegation.
In the semifinals, Branza won over Erika Kirpu from Estonia, 12-11 after defeating in the quarterfinals the Finnish Catharina Kock, 15-4, after winning in the round of sixteen against Estonian Katrina Lehis, 15-12.
