The 71st Air Base in Campia Turzii hosts the Romanian-American Exercise DACIANEAGLE 2015, from July through September.

The bilateral exercise brings together about 300 Romanian military personnel, pilots andtechnical personnel, six MiG-21 LanceR aircraft and five IAR-330 Puma (SOCAT andMEDEVAC) helicopters of the 71st Air Base and about 300 US soldiers, twelve F-15aircraft and the associated technical means.

DACIAN EAGLE 2015 continues the tradition of the Romanian-American exercisesconducted in Campia Turzii, that aim at increasing the training level and theinteroperability of the involved troops.

The exercise is a good opportunity to exercise techniques, tactics and standard proceduresassociated with air operations, in agreement with NATO standards, by flying side by sidewith the American partner.
