The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, will be at Smardan firing range, Galati County, from 16.00, on Wednesday, August 26, to watch an airborne assault simulation carried out by troops from Italy, Spain and US Army during multinational exercise Swift Response 15.


Journalists are expected to arrive at the gates of Smardan firing range, Galati County, between 13.45 and 15.00, on Wednesday, August 26.

The exercise under the command of the US Army that takes place in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy and Romania involves over 4,800 troops from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the USA.


Swift Response 15 includes several airborne assault simulations taking place almost simultaneously over the firing ranges: Smardan in Romania, Hohenfels in Germany, Novo Selo in Bulgaria, where the subsequent training sessions will be carried out.
