The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, will participate in the ceremony marking NFIU being rendered operational held in Bucharest, at 10.50, on Thursday, September 3.

This command if one of the six established in Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania for the consolidation of NATO's Eastern flank.

The units are created as a measure taken by NATO in response to the security situation in the region with a view to improving the specific and dicisive response of the Alliance to any hostile actions against another member state.

Journalists intending to assist to the ceremony should confirm their participation at relatii.publice@forter.ro by 16.00, Wednesday, September 3. Media representatives are expected to arrive at the Land Forces Staff (7H Drumul Taberei Blvd.).
