The meeting of Minister Mircea Dusa with the President of the Republic of Slovenia

Taking into consideration the current regional security context corroborated with the emerging challenges generated not only by the latest developments of the situation from Ukraine but also from the Sothern flank of the Alliance, I consider it proper to intensify our cooperation at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels, defence minister Mircea Dusa stated during the meeting with the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.

Minister Dusa pointed out that the visit in Slovenia represents an opportunity of strengthening the political and military cooperation relations between the two states and armed forces.

We have common ideals and values; that is why providing for the security of the Euro-Atlantic space is a foremost objective for our countries, minister Mircea Dusa declared.

The two officials also discussed about the strategic adjustment of the North-Atlantic Alliance, the topics to be approached during the future NATO Summit, the implementation status of the decisions taken in the defence field at the European Councils as well as the implementation of the reassurance measures in NATO's Eastern flank.

Defence Minister Mircea Dusa also met today with the Slovenian Defence Minister, Andreja Katie.
