The Veterans' Relay on the Last Two Running Courses

Military men, voluntary members of the group Invictus Romania, will take the start on the last two running courses of this year's edition of the Veterans' Relay from the Mayor's Office of Iasi at 09.00 hrs., on Thursday, September 24 and from the Mayor's Office of Curtea de Arges, at 09.00 hrs., on Friday, September 25.

The relay courses will cover a distance of about 1,000 kilometers and will include localities Curtea de Arges, Sibiu, Sighisoara, Tirgu Mures and Iasi, Piatra Neamt, Vatra Dornei, Bistrita, Tirgu Mures, Oarba de Mures, Cluj Napoca, Zalau, Satu Mare and Carei.

The two running courses will intersect in Tirgu Mures, where a commemoration ceremony will be organized at 12.30, on Friday September 28.

In each of the localities where battles were fought, the relay bearers will hand over a national flag to WW 2 veterans. The flags will be finally taken over by the local
authorities and will be hoisted on an important edifice of the community.

The relay bearers will reach Carei, namely the Monument Ensemble Glorie Ostasului Roman, on October 25.

Journalists who want to watch the ceremonies are expected at the Mayor's Office of Iasi at 08.50, on Thursday, September 24 and in front of the the Mayor's Office of Curtea de Arges at 08.50, on Friday, September 25.
