The Minister of Defence Received the Visit of the Ambassador of Poland to Bucharesti

The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, received the Ambassador of Poland toBucharest, H.E. Marcin Wilczek, at the defence ministry, today, September 24.

Theagenda of the meeting included topics such as the challenges to the global securityenvironment and the implementation of NATO Readiness Action Plan.

Establishing a Multinational Division Headquarters for southeast in Romania andactivating NFIUs both in Romania and Poland, along with those from Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, sent a strong allied reassuring and solidarity message in thepresent international context, the defence minister pointed out. He thanked the Polishambassador for the participation of the Polish soldiers in the two NATO structures in Bucharest.

The Romanian-Polish Strategic Partnership ensures the appropriate framework for theexcellent relations of our armed forces, while offering the basis for conducting suchjoint projects, minister Dusa said. The defence minister also appreciated that thedocument can play an important role in increasing the ability of the two countries toproject an integrated vision at regional, allied and European level.

Taking into account the common position of Romania and Poland related to securityrisks and the ways to counter them, we intend to make an essential contribution toprojecting NATO adaptation goals that are to be approved at the 2016 Warsaw Summit,concluded minister Mircea Dusa.
