Minister Mircea Dusa Attends the Meeting of NATO's Ministers of Defence

The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, will participate in the Meeting of NATO's Ministers of Defence to take place at NATO HQ in Brussels, on Thursady, October 8.

The topics of the Defence Ministers meeting will revolve around the stage of implementing the decisions of the Wales Summit, especially the
Readiness Action Plan/RAP for increasing NATO's operational capacity and shaping the elements of the Adaptation Agenda for Warsaw, in view of the next NATO Summit of next summer.

Other topics are related to the Alliance reform, the improvement of the decision mechanisms and specific capabilities, taking into account the concerning developmenets of the present security environment and the need to consolidate the ability to efficiently counter the new strategic challenges.

The meeting will include a working session of NATO-Georgia Commission (NGC) attended by the Georgian defence minister, Mr. Tinatin Khidasheli.

The Romanian defence minister will have side bilateral meetings with his Georgian and Greek counterparts, with a view to strengthen defence cooperation between Romania and these two countries.
