17 victims of the fire produced at Colectiv Club, aged between 20 and 40, were evaluated by the emergency care unit of Dr. Carol Davila Central Emergency Military Hospital. 4 of them came directly to the hospital while 13 were brought by SMURD crews in critical condition.

At this time, 14 patients are being hospitalized in the Intensive Care Section, presenting different degrees of skin burns (ranging from 8-10% up to 40-50% of the total surface of the body) and upper respiratory tract burns. 3 of them are in extremely critical condition, intubated and mechanically ventilated, with reserved prognosis regarding their health condition evolution.

The medical personnel has been working continuously since the first hospitalization up to present, 14 surgeries being made in the Operating Block of the Plastic, Reparatory and Burn Surgery Section of the hospital, when they performed the primary surgical cleaning of the burn lesions and wounds as well as the decompression incisions.

All patients hospitalized in the Intensive Care Section need support treatment of the vital functions, antibiotherapy with large spectrum, volemic and hydroeletrolytic reequilibration, multimodal analgesia, anticoagulation and stress ulcer prophylaxis as well as parenteral nutrition.

A medical board was established at the level of the Central Emergency Military Hospital which will request interdisciplinary consultations based on the health condition evolution of the patients.

We will provide additional information on the health condition evolution of the patients hospitalized at the Central Emergency Military Hospital, as soon as new data emerge.
