Defence Minister had an Office Call with the Ambassador of Israel to Bucharest

Defence minister, Mircea Dusa, had an office call with the Ambassador of Israel to Bucharest, Tamar Samash, at the Ministry of National Defence headquarters, on Wednesday, November 4.

The two officials tackled subjects referring to the military cooperation between the two states, the challenges posed by the global security environment and the consequences of the migration of the population from the conflict areas.

The Romanian defence minister emphasized Romania's intention to maintain and increase dialogue at high level and continue carrying out the common training activities at the level of the Services, including the fight against terrorism.

'We encourage the cooperation of your country with the North-Atlantic Alliance and I want to highlight the importance of the Mediterranean Dialogue, a cooperation format within which the State of Israel is an important and trustworthy partner ', the Romanian dignitary stated.

Also, the minister of national defence considered that the Allied reassurance measures, as well as the long-term adaptation ones should focus on the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea regions, with regard to the security environment assessment, discouraging and monitoring measures as well as cooperation with other partners.
