The Chief of General Staff participates in NATO Military Committee Reunion

The Chief of General Staff, General Nicolae Ciuca, will participate in the 174th session of NATO Military Committee in the Chiefs of Defence format, held at the North-Atlantic Council Headquarters, on Thursday, 21 January.

The reunion agenda will include talks on NATO's current military topics such as Resolute Support Mission from Afghanistan, NATO's Future Strategy, Posture and Adaptation as well as a meeting with the representatives of the states participating in the Mediterranean Dialogue.

During the reunion held in the format of the countries participating in Resolute Support Mission, the chiefs of defence will be informed on the results obtained by the Afghan Security Forces and the evolution of the security situation and will talk on aspects referring to the military contribution brought in order to consolidate Afghanistan and NATO Enduring Partnership.

As part of the meeting held in the format of the states participating in the Mediterranean Dialogue, the chiefs of defence from the NATO member states will approach topics related to the regional security situation which will generate talks referring to the development of cooperation among allies and the participants in the Mediterranean Dialogue.

The last part of the reunion will include talks on the NATO's Future Strategy, Posture and long-term Adaptation.
