Humaniatrian Mission of the Air Force

A C-27J aircraft of the Romanian Air Force configured for medevac missions made an emergency humanitarian flight on the Otopeni - Satu Mare - Otopeni route, today, January 30, in order to transfer a patient who suffered severe burn injuries.

The military aircraft took off from the 90th Airlift Base of Otopeni, at about 13.15 hrs. and returned at 16.00 hrs.

Specific medical equipment and assistance are provided by a SMURD medical team with the support of military doctors and paramedical staff.

The mission was carried out at the request of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The aircraft was flown by a crew consisting of Commander Ion Staiculescu pilot, captains Claudia Voicu and Valentin Chiriac co-pilots, WO Iulian Chifan loadmaster, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Pintilie doctor and Sergeant Dumitru Miu paramedic.
