Visit at Deveselu Military Base

The Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, and the chief of General Staff, General Nicolae Ciuca, made a visit at the military base of Deveselu and the US Facility it hosts.

Commander Razvan Bratulescu of the 99th Military Base of Deveselu, held a briefing on the Romanian contribution to the process of operationalization.

While at the American facility, the Romanian officials were briefed by Commander James Craycraft, on the main infrastructure elements developed by the American side for the missile defence system.

The American partners spoke highly of Romanian troops' daily support in completing the missile defence system.

Minister Motoc emphasized the good cooperation between Romanian and American forces in conducting this project and said that involving Romania in getting the US missile defence system operational is an important step in increasing the level of national security, while consolidating the Romanian-American Strategic Partnership and highlighting the strategic profile of Romania as a reliable and trustworthy supplier of security for NATO and EU member states'.
