While participating in NATO Defence Ministers Meeting, the Romanian Defence Minister, Mihnea Motoc, had a meeting with his Albanian counterpart, Ms. Mimi Kodheli, on Wednesday, February 10.

On this occasion, an exchange of opinions took place on the topics on the agenda of the Defence Ministers Meeting and the bilateral cooperation on defence and security.

The Romanian defence minister appreciated the contribution of the Albanian partners in manning the two NATO commands established in Romania and said he was confident the cooperation in matters related to collective defence and deterrance on the eastern flank would be studied more in future.

Both delegations agreed the importance of stability in the Western Balkans and a continued bilateral dialogue in this respect.
