While participating in NATO Defence Ministers Meeting, the Romanian Defence Minister, Mihnea Motoc, had a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart, Nikolai Nankov Nencev, on Thursday, February 11.

On this occasion, an exchange of opinions took place on the main developments related to security in the extended Black Sea region and cooperation for the joint Air Police missions, while the Bulgarian partner would inform when the proper juridical framework was adopted.

The two officials appreciated the excellent defence cooperation relations between Romania and Bulgaria, considering that the decision of the defence ministerial is an important step in preparing the Summit in Warsaw.

Both delegations agreed on the importance of continuing the tight defence cooperation between the two countries and the bilateral cooperation at NATO and regional level.
