The Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, received the British Ambassador to Romania, H.E. Paul Brummell, at the defence ministry, on Monday, February 15.

The agenda included talks on intensifying bilateral and Euro-Atlantic cooperation in the field of defence and security. Minister Motoc emphasized the importance of consolidating a credible and significat allied presence on the Eastern flank in the context of the security developments in the extended Black Sea region.

The two officials appreciated the opportunity to develop the dialogue between Romania and Great Britain and identifying specific lines of cooperation with a view to preparing NATO Summit in Warsaw.
