The ceremony marking the return of the 811th Infantry Battalion from Afghanistan will take place at 12.00 hrs., on Friday, March 11, in Bobalna Square, Dej Municipality, in the presence of the Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, and the chief of General Staff, General Nicolae Ciuca.

The 420 troops of the 811th Infantry Battalion participated in Resolute Support mission over August 2015 to March 2016. The about 1,500 missions they carried out in Kandahar Province consisted in ensuring the security of the base and the coalition forces, offering counselling and assistance to Afghan military and security forces, participating in projects concerning education, material dissemination and humanitarian assistance.
