The Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, will make an official visit to France over March 23 and 24, at the invitation of his counterpart, Mr. Jean-Yves le Drian.

The visit is a good opportunity to assert the special character of the bilateral defence relations developed in the framework of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and France launched in 1997.

The talks agenda includes the latest developments in the regional and international security environment, the ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in NATO and EU, intelligence exchange on the main European defence and security political files and the preparation of the Warsaw Summit agenda.

The visit program includes documentation visits to several military objectives as well.
