The Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, received the Turkish Vice-Minister of National Defence, Suay Alpay, at the defence ministry, on Tuesday, April 5.

The delegations discussed cooperation in allied and bilateral context, with focus on cooperation in the field of the defence industry. Minister Motoc stressed that the Agreement of May 2015, between the Government of Turkey and the Government of Romania on cooperation in the field of defence industry is a major step in re-launching it.

Both delegations manifested interest in continuing the Romanian-Turkish meetings for cooperation in the defence industry, together with representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Affairs.
