In municipalities and towns with military units, wreath-laying ceremonies will be organized on May 9, marking the celebration of the Independence Day of Romania, Victory Day and Europe Day.

The ceremony in Bucharest will take place starting at 09.00 hrs., at the Monument of Homeland Heroes of WW2 (Carol I National Defenec University), in the presence of the Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, and the chief of General Staff, General Nicolae Ciuca.
