The Ministry of National Defence will participate for the first time ever in a gaming convention - East European Comic Con 2016, organized at Romexpo Exhibition Complex in Bucharest.

Special Ops will be present with troops of the 6th Brigade, with equipment, weapon systems among which the high mobility multi-role vehicle (HMMWV), known to the public as Humvee, that could be seen outside the display area. The Navy Staff will also be present there with specific weapons.

At the defence ministry displays, visitors will be able to see an exhibition of miniture ships, equipment, weapons and uniforms, while the Military Centre of Bucharest Area will present the military educational offer.

East European Comic Con is the most important East European event dedicated to fans of comics, animations, video games, as well as TV series and movies. ESL and Comic Con expect that this 4th edition will bring some 40,000 visitors. Among the happenings are meetings with Hollywood actors, a regional competition of gaming, a spot for trials of the last video games. Cosplay contest are organized for those wishing to costume as the favourite character, quizzes, meetings with the participants that exhibit their products and content creators from the online environment.

For the first time, there will be an area dedicated to video games of the 90s, Zona Retro/Retro Zone. Working consoles, periferals and HC computers would be seen, tested and enjoyed for the duration of the event.
