The minister of national defence, Mihnea Motoc, will have official talks with General Curtis Scaparrotti, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), in Belgium, Mons, on Monday, July 4th, and with his Italian counterpart Roberta Pinotti, in Rome, on Tuesday, July 5th.

The meetings agenda consists in topics related to recent evolutions of the regional and international security environment and the consolidation of the allied deterrence and defence posture and the forwarded presence on the Eastern flank, which will be the major subjects of the next week NATO Summit. Also, ways of enhancing bilateral defence cooperation will be also approached during the meeting from Rome.
