The Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, will participate in the festivities organized on the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, to take place on August 23 and 24.

The activity will also be attended by the defence ministers of Estonia, Lithuania and the Republic of Moldova, as well as political and military representatives of other European countries.

The event offers the occasion to reiterate our country's support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and independence. It is also an opportunity to discuss ways of improving military bilateral relations, in the current complex security context, including cooperation within regional initiatives.

During the bilateral meetings with the officials in Kiev, they will discuss the support of the defence reform and consolidation of Ukraine's military, including the relations with NATO and the EU, by an efficient use of the partnership tools offered by the two organizations.
