The Distinguished Visitors' Day at Exercise PATRIOT SHOCK V will take place at the Training and surface-to-air Shooting Range Camp at Capu Midia, Constanta County, on Tuesday, November 8.

PATRIOT SHOCK V is a tactical Romanian-American field training exercise of the Romanian Air Force's surface-to-air missile structures. The Romanian military participate with a HAWK PIP III R battery while the US military with a PATRIOT battery.

The goal of the exercise is to train the HAWK PIP III R battery crews in engaging air targets by integrating with the PATRIOT battery, according to a fictitious air defence scenario.

The main goals of the exercise are improving planning procedures and taking actions to counter an air enemy target and checking the interoperability of the command and control systems of the two surface-to-air missile structures.
