The Romanian Land Forces will participate with 30 soldiers of the 495th Capitan Stefan Soverth Infantry Battalion 3 in the multinational exercise IRON SWORD-16, in Lithuania, over November 22 to December.

About 2000 troops from Canada, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Great Britain, Poland, Romania and the USA will carry out tactical fire with all types of weapon systems using NATO techniques, tactics and procedures.

IRON SWORD-16 is part of multinational exercise BLACK SEA ROTATIONAL FORCE-16 and aims at increasing the interoperability level through common training sessions for peacekeeping and counter-insurgency operations.
