The Ministry of National Defence organizes military and religious ceremonies to celebrate the Day of the Unification of Romanian Principalities, on Tuesday, January 24.

The wreath-laying ceremony in Bucharest will take place at 09.30 hrs., at the statue of ruler Alexandru Ioan Cuza, on the hill of the Romanian Patriarchy.

The military ceremony in Iasi, will take place at 11.30 hrs., at the Monument of Alexandru Ioan Cuza in Unirii Square, while at 12.30 a short religious service, Te Deum, will take place at the grave of the ruler, at Trei Ierarhi Church.

A military and religious ceremony will be organized at 16.00 hrs, in Focsani, in Unirii Square, along an evocative artistic show and the march of the Guard of Honor of the 30th Mihai Viteazul Guard Brigade.

Similar ceremonies as well as scientific communication sessions, documentary films gala, exhibitions and shows will be organized in garrisons that host monuments dedicated to the Unification of Romanian Principalities, in cooperation with the local authorities.
