Under MPFSEE, Multinational Peace Force South-Eastern Europe the ''CORNERSTONE-2003" exercise will be organized between May 14 and July 15, 03 in Mihail Kogalniceanu, Corbu, Capu Midia and Babadag by SEEBRIG, Coalition Engineer Task Force from Europe of US Marine Corps and Romanian Ministry of National Defense. 500 military from NATO members and partners (Albania, Bulgaria, FYROM, Romania, US and Turkey). Half of the people will be set at disposal by our country.

"CORNERSTONE-2003" is the third exercise of this type developed by CETFOR including SEEBRIG and other engineering sub-units of US Army and Romania.

The aim of this exercise is to develop CETFOR humanitarian intervention increasing the operative force, interoperability and practice of command and control proceedings in the theater of operation.

According to the exercise scenario SEEBRIG cooperates with US and Romanian forces for humanitarian relief and assistance to local authorities for improving the infrastructure elements. Thus, the bridge and the access way to the school from Corbu (Constanta County) will be repaired, the school will be renewed and some new classes will be built. Certain elements of infrastructure from the four places will be improved during the exercise.
